11 Best AI Answer Generator Apps for Android & iOS

When it comes to finding answers to our questions, AI technology has become increasingly helpful in delivering quick and accurate responses. Whether you’re seeking assistance in completing homework, looking for information on a particular topic, or simply wanting to engage in intelligent conversations, AI answer generator apps have got you covered.

In this article, we have compiled a list of the 11 best AI answer generator apps. And if you need these apps for student needs, we can also recommend the best homework planner apps.

Answer.AI – Your AI tutor

Let’s start our list with a popular and highly-rated app that has been hailed as a lifesaving tool by many users.

This app claims to be the academic superhero we all need, a 24/7 study buddy. According to the developers, this app covers almost everything, from math to Shakespeare.

The reviews are mostly glowing, and mostly written by students. Apparently, it’s helpful with subjects like physics and math, and it can even write essays for you. However, some users have found the app struggling with flashcard limits and being a bit clueless when it comes to interpreting some scanned pictures.

As for its looks, the interface is what you’d expect – functional and user-friendly. It’s not heavyweight and your phone won’t struggle with it. In my experience, it worked smoothly without any bugs.

I must note that while targeted at students, this app actually can be used beyond school purposes. It’s a knowledgeable AI assistant that can help with technical or general knowledge questions. It gave me some pretty good advice on wiring.

While the basic version of the app is free, there is a pro plan too, which gets you early access to new features and unlimited usage, and doubles the query speed. You can also get access to some features by watching ads.

So, I guess I can recommend this one, even if you’re not a student anymore – this is a handy platform that is prepared for most of the questions.

The second app I wanted to examine is aimed primarily at students, too, and like the previous one, claims that it can provide answers on any subject – from math to history. GPT-3.5 is the language model that’s behind this app.

All you have to do is take a picture of the problem, and it solves it for you. Of course, the creators stress that this app has been designed for studying and not for cheating.

Visually, the app looks nice and has a well-organised layout. I like its dark colour scheme and minimalism. However, I did encounter some issues with functionality.

It works quickly, indeed. But according to some users, the app is not great at scanning and recognising pictures. At time, you might need to retake a photo, and the instrument may not always understand the words. So, eventually, you might end up with a wrong answer. Plus, occasional app shutdowns were bugging me too.

While the basic version is free, there are various subscription options, from weekly to lifetime, providing unlimited questions and an ad-free experience. Overall, I’m not so sure I would be willing to pay for the tool that is consistently struggling with picture quality and word recognition.

Help AI: Your Homework With AI

Next app claims to use one of the most advanced AI models out there. You can throw any question from any discipline at it, and it’s supposed to have your back.

In my experience, the app functions just fine. It looks nice, operating it is quite easy, and it won’t bog down your device, being rather small in size.

Like other similar tools, this one is not limited to you typing your questions: you can type, scan with your camera, or even do a voice search. Custom prompts let you create and save personalized instructions. Save, share, and copy functions make sure you have your queries at your fingertips. In addition, you can share text and images from other apps.

From spell-checking to translations, generation of tips and giving tips, this app is useful for many other non-study purposes. However, this AI assistant has its drawbacks: the character limit of 2000 letters is a bit of a downside.

On that note, while the app is free, you can gain access to extra features after watching a few ads. Alternatively, there are paid features, but I didn’t feel a subscription was really necessary.

Homework.ai

Homework AI is another AI-powered sidekick to help you with math problems and English essays. This is not the most popular app out there, but the reviews are generally good, so I decided to give it a go.

Firstly, this app is fast. Whenever you’ve got a question, you just type, tap, and the answer is right there looking at you. There’s more: the app comes with a speech recognition feature, so you can just ask your question out loud. Plus, there’s Optical Character Recognition (OCR) to scan your math problems and get instant results.

In addition to answers, the app can rewrite and translate texts, and generate phrases for you.

Now, in terms of functionality and design, it’s your typical AI app – it doesn’t look flashy, but it works, and its navigation is easy to figure out. The scanner feature is not perfect, though, and occasionally makes mistakes with the recognition of special characters. But I figured this was a pretty common drawback of all similar apps.

The app is free, but it contains ads, and those can get pretty annoying. You can get rid of them by paying for premium features.

Nerd AI – Tutor & Math Helper

Another academic helper app, Nerd AI is one of the popular ones. It has been designed for those swamped with home assignments and essay writing, or puzzled by coding tasks.

This tool promises to transform how you study by providing a whole raft of features that can help you tackle pretty much everything. You can snap a picture, and get clear step-by-step explanations.

Regarding writing tasks, this tool can help you craft essays, blogs, or scripts for presentations. You just need to specify your word count and writing tone. The app also checks your grammar, offers writing tips, and does translations. Rewriting is also an option, no matter if you need to simplify or fine-tune your text.

Finally, and what I particularly enjoyed, this app can aid with honing your coding skills. It claims that it can assist with any language, explain things, and check your own code.

There are also trivia quests which are an opportunity to keep your knowledge in check.

The app’s interface is pretty standard, and in my view, it does its job pretty well.

Not all is rosy, of course: some users have encountered bugs and technical problems, and the subscription plan may not fit everyone’s budget. However, I think the free version offers enough features and options for most of the basic student needs.

Cleverr – AI Assistant Chatbot

For folks overwhelmed with writing tasks, Cleverr ChatGPT AI Assistant steps in to lend a hand. Cleverr brings OpenAI’s ChatGPT and GPT-4 technology to you. So, whether you need writing help of any kind, or are searching for a virtual assistant solution, or just want a digital conversation, this app boasts it can aid you.

The app has correction, translation, and summary tools for improving your texts. Among its other features are a JavaScript helper chatbot, social media content creator, interview assistant, and essay outline generator.

For the inventive, an analogy creator and a product name generator are available. It can come in handy for business-minded individuals with keyword advice, and even has the potential to write things like restaurant reviews, recipes and jokes.

I, for one, thoroughly enjoyed playing around with the tool while planning a family dinner from scratch. It proved to be quite helpful for making lists, calculations, and recipe suggestions.

But let’s address the downside: users have complaints about preferences not saving, the app freezing, and restrictive character limits. And it seems customer service could be more responsive, according to reviews.

The app is free but includes ads and in-app purchases.

So, overall, I found this app pretty decent and would consider keeping it for a while.

Quizard AI – Scan and Solve

Quizard AI is a neat little homework helper. Using AI, it answers multiple choice and short answer questions. This makes it great for preparing for exams, quizzes, and tests. Primarily targeted at students, the app might be helpful for adults in certain situations as well.

Using the app is simple: Take a picture of the math question, and the app will solve it, complete with a full explanation.

However, I must admit it’s not perfect – at times, it responds incorrectly to many physics and math problems. It struggles with numerical values and tough or moderate questions. This has been stressed by some of the reviews, too.

Also, the basic version of the app is free, but limited: there are tokens that you run out of pretty quickly and this sort of pushes you to buy the subscription.

On the plus side, it’s got a pretty clear design, and is quick to navigate, with a tidy colour palette. But it does have a few downsides: it takes up some phone memory and comes with ads and paid features, which can get annoying.

AI Chatbot – Ask Me Anything

One more app that uses natural language processing and artificial intelligence to provide accurate and helpful information in a conversational manner. It can answer questions, write emails, papers, or essays, compose stories or poems, translate between languages, correct grammar mistakes, and solve mathematical problems.

Now, the major downside is the very limited nature of the free version. The app offers an ad-free experience and faster response time with the premium version, which you can get through a yearly or monthly subscription. However, the free version only allows you to ask 3 questions before needing to pay which in my view is a measly number.

Otherwise, the user interface design is comprehensive and convenient, and the colour palette is clean. However, I noticed that there are some limitations with the information being a bit outdated and the lack of personal customization. Plus, it does occupy a bit of your phone’s memory and has paid features and ads that can be a bit annoying.

It is available in a wide range of languages, from English and German to Chinese and Turkish.

Generally, though, I still think it’s a handy app for general studies and homework help, but it does have some limitations and I wish it had more creative tools and features for the price.

Solvo: AI Homework Helper

Solvo, another AI-based app that has been developed to help with your academic needs, like the name suggests, can solve math problems, and do a whole range of other useful things.

The main features of Solvo include the ability to scan and solve math problems, equations, and more, as well as ace any test or quiz with its question-answering capabilities. The app also streamlines writing and reading tasks, allowing users to write essays effortlessly, improve and reword their writing, and generate summaries of texts or books.

I dig the app’s interface. The colour palette is modern and inviting, with a well-organized layout that makes it easy to navigate through the app’s main features. It’s easy to figure out how to use the tool.

While the app offers a free version with limited usage, you can also pay for a Premium subscription. This allows them to remove usage limits and get instant responses to queries. This might make sense, because the free version comes with a serious limitation: you can only ask two questions before it requests payment.

Yet I would conclude that Solvo is a comprehensive and convenient tool for students in the first place. Its intuitive design and powerful features really stand out, when compared with some other apps on this list.

AI Voice Chat Bot: Open Wisdom

This is a cool AI bot powered by ChatGPT-4 technology that can answer your questions using natural language processing. The good thing about it is that you don’t need to log in to use it.

You can use this app for numerous purposes, not necessarily study-related. Plan trips, get life tips, suggest recipes, and learn about historical facts and science.

There is a catch, however: since we’re looking at the free version of the tool, the message length limitations can be a bit frustrating, as this can make it difficult to have a productive conversation with the bot.

Overall, the app is pretty popular, with millions of downloads and great reviews, so I suppose it’s one of those that are leading the way in artificial intelligence natural language processing technology. The interface is intuitive and easy to use, it’s fast, and the interface looks sleek.

If I were trying to be picky, I would complain about the bot having just one voice to respond in, which sounds just a tad unpleasant – but this is a minor detail.

So, if you’re looking for a convenient and comprehensive AI chatbot app, this one is definitely worth checking out. In my experience, the high ratings are well deserved.

TutorEva: AI Homework Helper

The final app on our list, TutorEva relies upon ChatGPT and Knowledge AI Agent Model and can help with all sorts of homework questions, from math and physics to history and economics. Plus, it even has live experts available 24/7 to give you detailed answers and explanations within 30 minutes – just submit a ticket and wait for your expert.

More than a smart calculator, it’s like having your own virtual study partner. The app provides step-by-step solutions and in-depth explanations, and if you’re struggling with a particular topic, you can ask follow-up questions as long as you need.

The interface is clean and inviting, with a well-organized layout. It works quickly, and never once lagged on me. However, I must warn that it is not exactly lightweight, and might not always work fast on older phone models.

Overall, this app is moderately popular with rather high ratings and positive reviews. Apparently, it’s one of those underrated little gems on the market. Its free version, obviously, comes with limitations, and there is a wide range of subscription options available.
